The 615th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour was the Mini Golf layout at Tucks Plot near the seafront, The Strand and gardens in Dawlish, Devon.
The 18-hole course is a Swedish Felt variety of Minigolf |
The 18-hole Swedish Felt B-Run type of Mini Golf was the 16th visited our tour of the South West of England during June 2015.
Unfortunately the course was closed when we were in Dawlish on Wednesday 3rd June |
Check out photos of the course below.
For more information on the course, opening times and prices visit the Dawlish Mini Golf web page.
The 'Dawlish' sign has been prominent on the course for many years. In older photos of the course the word was spelled out in plants |
There's been a miniature golf layout on the site for many years. I've got a number of old postcards dating from the 1930's and 40's through to the 70's and 80's that show a grass Putting course on the spot. It was pleasing to see a couple of postcards showing the current course on sale in the town and I bought a stack of them from the Tourist Information Centre to post out to friends.
