We found another miniature golf course on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour while driving to Altrincham this morning!
Pitch & Putt at Woodheys Park in Sale
We took a more scenic route than usual and while driving through Sale spotted a sign for the 18-hole Pitch & Putt course at Woodheys Park.

Naturally, we swung by for a look.
Pitch & Putt at Woodheys Park in Sale - looking quite autumnal already!
The 18-hole Pitch & Putt course at Woodheys Park in Sale became the 998th miniature golf course location visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour since September 2006.

We wonder how many other minigolf layouts are lurking in Greater Manchester that we haven't been to yet?
We found two miniature golf courses by accident while out on our daily outdoor exercise yesterday afternoon!
Both layouts were in the City of Salford - one was a Putting Green at Victoria Park in Pendlebury, Swinton and the other was a Pitch & Putt course at Buile Hill Park in Salford.
Neither course was open
It's always nice to find minigolf courses we didn't previously know about. It was especially crazy as both are fairly close by!
A look at the Pitch & Putt course at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester.
We visited Wythenshawe Park in Manchester for our daily outdoor exercise on Sunday and as well as revisiting the abandoned Crazy Golf course there we saw the Pitch & Putt layout on our walk round the park and gardens.
The Pitch & Putt course at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester was the 949th visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.

Hole 4 of the 9-hole layout
We visited Wythenshawe Park over the border in Manchester for our daily outdoor exercise yesterday.
On the first course since before the Coronavirus pandemic hit
The 9-hole Crazy Golf course is the first previously played Crazy Golf location we've revisited during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 9-hole course
It was the first time we've been to Wythenshawe Park since we played the course on the 25th July 2009 when it became the 114th played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
Bizarre really as technically it's our most local course!
We had asked a number of people if the course was still there since we moved to Stockport in 2016 but nobody knew anything about it, or said it was long gone.
So it was a nice surprise to see it was still there.
The park is also home to a Pitch & Putt miniature golf course. That became the first new course we've been to during the pandemic and the 949th visited overall on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
The grass Putting course at Knaresborough's Castle Yard became the 357th course played and 591st visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. We've now been to 948 courses since our travels began in 2006.
The course is the first we've ever been to that had a sallyport and secret tunnel running underneath it!
The tunnel was built in the late 13th or mid 14th century and was large enough for a small group of armed men to leave the castle secretly at night and launch an attack on any besieging troops.
Knaresborough is definitely on our list of places to go to post-lockdown.
